Lehigh Valley Restaurants Will Offer Free Meals on Veterans Day

This November 11 many restaurants and retailers around the country will say “thank you” to U.S. veterans and active-duty service members by offering free meals, exclusive deals and other specials.

This Nov. 11 many restaurants and retailers around the country and here in the Lehigh Valley will say “thank you” to U.S. veterans and active-duty service members by offering free meals, exclusive deals and other specials.

Below is a list of some of the free meals and retail deals that will be available on Veterans Day (Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018) and legally observed Veterans Day (Monday, Nov. 12, 2018). This list is compiled from information on Offers.com and TheMilitaryWallet.com and highlights participating chains with locations/franchises in the Lehigh Valley area.

Note: Please call your local restaurant or business to see if they are participating and details about any proof of service that may be required.

Local Restaurants

  • Carl’s Corner: Carl’s Corner, 2 W. Elizabeth Ave., Bethlehem, will honor veterans with “Golden Tickets” on their bulletin board. On Monday, Nov. 12, veterans with valid ID can use a ticket to receive one complimentary Steak Break or Deli Delight meal (no substitutions).
  • Springtown Inn: The Springtown Inn, 3258 Main St., Springtown, will offer veterans with ID a free meal on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. The meal includes choice of soup or salad; choice of entree from among the following: lobster tail, half rack of ribs, petite filet, Neptune Boaty, chicken marsala; potato and vegetable; and dessert. (Beverages not included.) Please call 610-346-7262 to guarantee a reservation.
  • Taps Tavern: Taps Tavern, 3731 Rt. 378, Bethlehem, and Braveheart Highland Pub, 430 Main St., Hellertown, will offer a free meal to veterans with valid ID on Sunday, Nov. 11.
  • Wasel’s Omelets: Wasel’s Omelets will serve free food to veterans at their stand at the Saucon Valley Farmers’ Market on W. Water Street in Hellertown on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. til closing (the market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

Chain Eateries

  • Applebee’s: Applebee’s will serve veterans and active-duty military a free meal on Nov. 11. Several of the Applebee’s located nearby are at 3730 Nazareth Pike, Bethlehem; 3702 Easton-Nazareth Highway (Rt. 248), Easton; and 145 N. West End Blvd. (Rt. 309), Quakertown.
  • Bar Louie: Bar Louie will serve a free meal to veterans and active-duty military from open to close on Nov. 11 at Bar Louie locations around the country. This offer includes a free burger or flatbread (up to a $15 value). Military ID is required. From Nov. 5-12 guests can donate via an add-on to their checks to Operation Homefront. There is Bar Louie in the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley at 2960 Center Valley Parkway, Ste. 700, Center Valley.
  • Bonefish Grill: Active and retired service members with valid military ID get a free appetizer, such as the Mussels Josephine, Calamari, Imperial Dip or Bang Bang Shrimp on Nov. 11. Locally there is a Bonefish Grill at 901 Lehigh Lifestyle Center (Lehigh Valley Mall), Whitehall.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings: Participating Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will offer a free small boneless or traditional wings and fries for all veterans and active-duty service members on Nov. 11. Dine-in only. Military ID required. Nearby there are Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants at 1225 Grape St., Whitehall; 3798 Dryland Way, Easton; and 1425 W. Broad St., Quakertown.
  • Chili’s will offer a free meal from a select menu on Nov. 11. Dine-in only and at participating locations only. Proof of military service is required. There is a Chili’s at 815 Grape St., Whitehall.
  • Cracker Barrel: Veterans and active duty military receive a free piece of Coca-Cola Cake on Nov. 11. There is a Cracker Barrel located at 7720 Main St., Fogelsville.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts will offer a free donut to veterans and active-duty military at participating restaurants nationwide on Sunday, Nov. 11. Locally there are Dunkin’ Donuts at 3655 Rt. 378, Bethlehem, 730 Main St., Hellertown, and in many other locations throughout the Lehigh Valley.
  • Friendly’s: Veterans and active-duty military with valid military ID or honorable discharge card can enjoy free breakfast, lunch or dinner at Friendly’s Nov. 11. The free breakfast includes the Big-Two-Do Breakfast and lunch/dinner includes the All-American Burger with fries. Nearby Friendly’s restaurants are located at 1836 Catasauqua Road, Allentown, and 3099 William Penn Highway, Easton.
  • Golden Corral: Military Appreciation night at Golden Corral is Nov. 12 (observed Veterans Day) from 5 to 9 p.m. Anyone who has served in the U.S. military is eligible to receive a free meal. Guests (including family) are welcome to join, but pay full menu pricing. Dine-in only. Locally there is a Golden Corral at 900 Lehigh Valley Mall Drive, Whitehall.
  • HomeTown BuffetMilitary Monday happens to fall on observed Veterans Day (Nov. 12). Show proof of service and get special discounts for yourself and up to three family members. Discounted prices are $1.99 for a kids meal, $6.29 for lunch and $9.29 for dinner. Old Country Buffet, which is part of the HomeTown Buffet family of restaurants, is located at 1245 Whitehall Mall, Whitehall.
  • Little Caesars Pizza will offer a free pizza or $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo to all U.S. Armed Forces veterans and active military members between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 11. This offer is available with proof of military service at participating stores nationwide. Call ahead to verify participation. The nearest Little Caesars to Saucon Valley are at 1517 Easton Ave., Bethlehem, and 120 S. West End Blvd., Quakertown.
  • Longhorn Steakhouse will offer a free appetizer or dessert (no purchase required, no restrictions) plus an additional 10 percent off for guests who dine with veterans on Nov. 11. This offer is for veterans and active-duty military members. Proof of service is required. There are Longhorn steakhouses at 3784 Dryland Way, Easton, and 1035 Grape St., Whitehall.
  • Menchie’s will offer all veterans and current service members their first 6 oz. of frozen yogurt free on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Nearby there are Menchie’s locations at 3014 Linden St., Bethlehem, and 943 Airport Center Road, Allentown.
  • Olive Garden will offer veterans and active-duty military a free entrée from a special menu. Entrées are served with unlimited soup or house salad and garlic breadsticks. Proof of service is required. Nearby there are Olive Garden restaurants at 50 Kunkle Drive, Easton, and 715 Grape St., Whitehall.
  • On the Border: Veterans with a valid military ID or proof of service get a free Create-Your-Own-Combo 2 Meal served with Mexican rice and beans, plus endless chips and salsa. Locally there is an On the Border restaurant at 909 Airport Center Drive, Allentown.
  • Red Lobster will offer a free appetizer or dessert with military ID or proof of service on Nov. 11 and Nov. 12. Veterans and active-duty service members may choose from a select list of appetizers and desserts. There is a Red Lobster located at 800 Lehigh Lifestyle Center, Whitehall.
  • Red Robin will offer a free Red’s Tavern Double and Bottomless Steak Fries for all Red Robin guests with a military ID or proof of service on Nov. 11. Nearby there are Red Robin restaurants at 2845 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley (in the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley), at 1875 Airport Road, Allentown, and at 690 N. West End Blvd., Quakertown.
  • Ruby Tuesday: Ruby Tuesday is offering a free appetizer to all veterans, active-duty and reserve service members on Nov. 11. Nearby there is a Ruby Tuesday at 2102 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem.
  • Texas Roadhouse will offer free lunch from a special menu on Nov. 11. Lunch includes sides and a soft drink, coffee or tea. Proof of service is required. Dine-in only. There are Texas Roadhouse restaurants located at 4463 Southmont Way, Easton, and 6268 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown.

Chain Retail Deals

  • Great Clips: Veterans and current military members who visit a Great Clips salon on Nov. 11 will get a free cut that day or a free haircut card to use later. Not a military member? Purchase a haircut on Nov. 11 and receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran in your life. There are Great Clips salons located at 919 Airport Center Drive, Allentown; 3770 Dryland Way, Easton; and 674 N. West End Blvd. (Rt. 309), Quakertown.
  • Lowe’s: Veterans and active military get 10% off purchases Veterans Day and every day at Lowe’s.
  • Sears Garage Services: Anyone with a valid military ID can receive 10 percent off any product or service from Nov. 9-12. There is a Sears Auto Center at 2025 Whitehall Mall, Whitehall.
  • Tractor Supply Company: Veterans, active duty military and their dependents will receive 15 percent off at Tractor Supply Company stores on Nov. 11. Present valid military ID to get the deal. There are Tractor Supply Company stores at 735 N. West End Blvd. (Rt. 309), Quakertown, and 4037 Jandy Blvd., Nazareth.
