Springfield Township Police Wednesday announced the filing of charges against two women who they say were involved in an “assault incident” that allegedly occurred in October on Gallows Hill Road.

In posts on the department’s Crimewatch site, police said Tamatha K. Polichetti, 51, of Bedminster, and Julia Lynn Sokoloski, 21, of Ottsville, are both charged with false imprisonment, simple assault and harassment. The first two charges are second-degree misdemeanors, while the harassment charge is graded a summary offense, according to court documents.

Police said the alleged victim in the case is a 21-year-old woman.

According to court records, Sokoloski and Polichetti were both arrested on the charges Nov. 29, and both had preliminary hearings before District Judge Gary Gambardella on Jan. 7.

Their preliminary arraignments are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Feb. 11 before Gambardella.
