Homecoming Blues: Tigers Tame Panthers (Brought to You by Cafe Erica)

One week after a mercy-rule victory over the winless Warriors of Wilson, Saucon Valley suffered a beatdown of their own at the hands of the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers.  The Panthers knew coming into this 2018 Homecoming matchup against Northwestern that they would have to play a near perfect game.  However, a continuous assortment of penalties, dropped balls and missed assignments prevented the Panthers from stepping up to overtake the Tigers.

Panther Pregame Football Focus Homecoming Edition: Saucon v. Northwestern Lehigh (Brought to You by Vassi’s Drive-In)

The Saucon Valley Panthers (7-0) are on a roll.  After last week's win over the Wilson Warriors, Saucon now turns their attention to the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers (5-2).  The Panthers defeated Northwestern 49-21 last year. But, this year's Tigers are much bigger game.  Northwestern Lehigh suffered a 35-34 loss to Palisades during week three and were defeated 45-21 by the much improved Spartans of Southern Lehigh last week.  Friday night is the Panthers' 2018 Homecoming and the game will be a signature win for either program.  It doesn't get much better than this!

FC Steel: State of the Steel VI (Sponsored)

It was a slow weekend for FC Steel.  Most teams opted to take the weekend off from EDP play and practice while a few other teams participated in a couple of different tournaments out near the Hershey area.

Week Seven Krunch Time: Clifford Stalks His Prey (Brought to You by The Waldheim Beethoven Club)

The Panthers improved to a 7-0 record on Friday night with a 49-14 mercy-rule victory over the Wilson Warriors.  This game, like the others, was packed full of Krunch-Time! options. 

Panther Play of the Week: Bully Ball by the Hogs! (Brought to You by Hellertown Bakery)

It was another mercy-rule win on Friday night for the Saucon Valley Panthers.  The 49-14 victory over the Wilson Warriors brought with it many, many great Panther plays.  This dandy caught our eye as it features the teamwork of the Hogs.

Saucon Valley is still rolling along in this 2018 high school football season. The Panthers followed last week's Mud Bowl victory over Bangor by defeating the Wilson Warriors in another mercy-rule win. With the 49-14 pummeling, Saucon Valley improved to a 7-0 record while the young Warriors fell to 0-7.

Panther Pregame Football Focus: Saucon v. Wilson (Brought to You by Vassi’s Drive-In)

After last week's big win at Bangor, the Saucon Valley Panthers (6-0) return home for a Friday night football fight against the winless Warriors from Wilson (0-6).   The Warriors most recently fell 28-7 to Pen Argyl last week. Last season, the Panthers scalped the Warriors 42-14.  Friday night should serve as a final tune-up before the Panthers hit the challenging homestretch of their 2018 Colonial League schedule.

FC Steel: State of the Steel V (Sponsored)

FC Steel, a youth soccer organization that is headquartered in Saucon Valley, had most of their programs in action over the weekend in league play.  Both FC Steel boys' and girls' teams are participating in the prestigious Eastern Development Program (EDP) this year.  The EDP league is an ultra-competitive travel soccer league that arranges for high-level teams to compete against one another on a routine basis.

It was mercy-rule victory on Friday night for the Saucon Valley Panthers over the Bangor Slaters.  There were a whole lot of big plays once again.   But, we feel as though they all pale in comparison to this.  Here is a special-teams gem executed by the Panther kickoff- return team.

The Panthers dominated on Friday night earning themselves a 48-12 victory over the Bangor Slaters.  It was another mercy-rule win for Saucon Valley and there were a number of Krunch-Time! options.
