As of 9:20 p.m. the company was reporting 1,580 Lower Saucon customers without electricity, representing the lion’s share of the outages currently being reported.

The company’s Twitter page hadn’t been updated to provide details about the outage as of 9 p.m.

Saucon Source tweeted to PPL to request information about the outage, and at 9:30 p.m. a company representative said no estimated time was available yet.

On the Saucon Source Facebook page, however, readers reported PPL estimated restoration times of between 11:30 a.m. (Society Hill, Pleasant Drive, Meadows Road, Hickory Hill) and 1 a.m. (Black River Road).

PPL customers should call 1-800-342-5775 to report outages and emergencies.
