A 25-year-old man is facing charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, after Lower Saucon Township Police say he caused $3,400 in damage to the group home where he lives.

A 25-year-old man is facing charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, after Lower Saucon Township Police say he caused $3,400 in damage to the group home where he lives.

In a news release issued Wednesday police said Darnell T. Woods, 25, “began breaking (items) and making a large mess” inside 2559 Applebutter Road after he allegedly “got upset with staff at the facility” on the evening of Nov. 28.

Woods was taken to the hospital for an evaluation following the alleged outburst.

According to the website for parent company Resources for Human Development, Mainstay United is a “supervised community-based residential program designed to provide a range of established and innovative rehabilitation strategies for adults with developmental disabilities and problematic sexual behaviors who are in need of clinical/forensic treatment. The program focuses on community and personal safety, accountability, competence, least restrictive alternative, normalization, due process and control.”

Mainstay United is headquartered at 3893 Adler Place, Hanover Township, Northampton County.
