Mailbox ‘Ripped Out of the Ground’ in Hit-and-Run Accident, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating a hit-and-run-accident in which a mailbox was damaged, according to a news release.

Police said the mailbox in the 2100 block of Apple Street was “ripped out of the ground” when it was struck by an unknown vehicle at about 6:45 a.m. Monday.

“After the accident, the vehicle left and (its driver) did not provide any information or contact police,” police said.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
