Hellertown Police Corporal Promoted to Sergeant

Hellertown Police Cpl. Jeff Johnston was promoted to sergeant during a swearing in ceremony at borough council’s meeting Monday night–and he had his own cheering section in the audience.

Veteran Hellertown Police Cpl. Jeff Johnston was promoted to sergeant during a swearing in ceremony at borough council’s meeting Monday night–and he even had his own cheering section in the audience.

Two of Johnston’s young daughters held homemade, stick-mounted signs that congratulated him on his promotion as Hellertown Mayor Richard Fluck administered an oath of service.

They then posed for photos with their dad.

Johnston’s wife and other family members were also present for the brief ceremony.

He is a Saucon Valley resident.
