A Hellertown woman will be charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, police say, after she allegedly fought with officers who responded to a noise complaint near her home in the 200 block of Main Street June 28.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Deborah Marie Kurter, 48, was “outside screaming obscenities at her daughter” when officers arrived at the rear of a neighbor’s residence at 12:46 a.m.

“When police asked her to refrain from screaming she became combative with officers and swung her fist at them,” the news release stated.

Kurter was then arrested, police said.
