Help Hellertown Police ID Main Street Hit-and-Run Driver

Hellertown Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a driver they say caused a hit-and-run accident in the 600 block of Main Street at around 7 a.m. Monday.

Hellertown Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a driver they say caused a hit-and-run accident in the 600 block of Main Street at around 7 a.m. Monday.

In a news release, police said the driver of a maroon sedan (pictured at right) “struck another occupied vehicle before fleeing the scene in a northern direction along Rt. 412.”

“The alleged offending vehicle is described as a maroon in color Mitsubishi Galant with an unknown registration having suffered moderate front end damage,” police said.

“The driver was described as a light-skinned female with long, dark, wavy hair and wearing sunglasses,” they added.

Anyone with information pertaining to the incident, alleged offender or vehicle is asked to call Hellertown Police via the Northampton County 911 Center at 610-759-2200.
