Hellertown Police say a borough woman has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Main and Depot streets Wednesday morning.

In a news release issued Thursday, police said Tanya Lee Colodonato, 32, of the 400 block of Main Street, was stopped after she “made an illegal turn in front of a Hellertown Police vehicle” at approximately 9:24 a.m.

Upon stopping Colodonato, police said it was learned that she was driving on a suspended license, driving with expired inspection/emissions stickers displayed and driving without corrective lenses as required by a driver’s license restriction.

Police said the officer also discovered her to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Charges have been filed at District Court 03-2-04 in Lower Saucon Township, they added.
