Wednesday afternoon in Saucon Valley’s high school library, Bob Frey and the Athletic Department hosted a letter of intent signing ceremony for four Panther student-athletes. Mackenzie Dickey, Helen Kreschollek, Joel Paulson and Zach Petiet all made their college choices official with their signing.
Mackenzie “Mack” Dickey will be heading to Susquehanna University where she plans to study Communication or Sports Marketing in addition to playing soccer for the River Hawks. Mackenzie said the reason she chose Susquehanna was because of “the great academics and athletics that they offer”.
Helen Kreschollek will be attending West Chester University at the start of the next school year. Kreschoolek, who also plays basketball and field hockey, will be playing lacrosse for the Gold Rams in addition to majoring in Athletic Training. “West Chester has the best lacrosse program and a top-notch Sports Medicine program,” Krescholek said. Playing club lacrosse for T3-West in addition to competing for the Panthers, Helen has many accolades including being named an Under Armour All-American.
A member of FBLA, Debate Team, Choir and much more, Joel Paulson seems to do it all. After graduating from Saucon, he will be heading for the Philadelphia area to play lacrosse and study Pre-Law at Swarthmore College. Joel received All-Area recognition for his play and suits up for the Twist Lax Club when not playing for the Panthers. He is excited for the next chapter in his life saying that Swarthmore is “one of the absolute best liberal arts colleges in the country”.
Zach is probably best known to Panther fans for his football exploits, but he will be going to Elizabethtown College in the Fall to play lacrosse and pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy. When asked why he chose Elizabethtown, Zach said it was the combination of strong academics and excellent lacrosse program that appeals to him. In addition to playing for Saucon, Zach is a member of the Dukes Lacrosse Club. As a Panther, Zach has been named as an All-Area All Star multiple times.
Best wishes in the future Panthers, the Source is with you!
