As part of a new partnership with Penn State University, Hellertown-based youth soccer organization FC Steel has announced that it will give away an all-expenses-paid trip to soccer camp for one boy and one girl. Each player will receive free attendance at a Penn State Soccer camp and free accommodations with their parent(s) at the Nittany Lion Inn in State College.

“The Penn State philosophy centers around a commitment to individual development combined with an emphasis on understanding the game of soccer at a higher level,” FC Steel said in a news release. “Each camper will have an enjoyable experience that Penn State hopes will deepen your child’s love of the sport and motivate them to continue to improve, regardless of where they are currently playing. Parents should know that the camper’s safety and welfare are our top priority and that your child will receive professional instruction from a team of outstanding coaches in a safe and inspirational environment.”

Players will have the opportunity to work with Penn State coaching staff to learn new skills in a fun and competitive environment. The camp curriculum is based on the same principles of play and many of the same exercises Penn State players are exposed to at the NCAA Division I level.

The contest is open to boys and girls in grades 5-8. One boy and one girl will be drawn as the winners on April 14. The boys camp will be held July 5-8, 2018, and the girls camp will be held July 11-14, 2018.

To enter the drawing, visit www.fcsteel.org and fill out the registration form. Be sure to like the FC Steel Facebook page to receive a notification about the April 14 live drawing.
