The Saucon Valley boys soccer team’s senior members were honored during an on-field ceremony last week.

Junior Erica Harvey kicked off the celebration as she performed the National Anthem before the game began. The festive atmosphere continued throughout the game as the Saucon cheerleaders showed off their school spirit while cheering the team on against the visitors from the Slate Belt. The cheers and support helped the boys add another “W” to their record.

Saucon pressed hard and dominated the entire game, with the final score being 5-0.

Goalie senior Sean Cyphers came out of goal and played the field resulting in a goal. The other goals were scored by junior Zack Mikuta, senior Jakob Raven (two goals) and senior Jack Causey.

Immediately following the game, Saucon’s Athletic Director Bob Frey introduced the seniors and read their profiles as they walked onto the field with their proud parents.

The boys are having a successful season with an overall record of 15 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie so far. Already qualified for districts, the team ends their regular season Wednesday with an away game at Palisades at 4 p.m.

The team is coached by Tim Houghton.
