Lower Saucon Township Police Friday announced a charge of DUI against a woman they say was driving under the influence of alcohol when she allegedly struck a parked car on West University Avenue Dec. 16.

In a post on the department’s Crimewatch website, police said Tanya Marie Garcia-Warren, 44, failed field coordination exercises that were administered to her after an officer detected the odor of an alcohol beverage while speaking with her.

Garcia-Warren’s blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was determined to be .12 percent at the Northampton County DUI Center, according to police. The legal BAC limit for most drivers is .08 percent.

Garcia-Warren is charged with one count of DUI, according to the police news post.
