Arthur B. Cromer Jr., 76, of Upper Saucon Township, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at home in the arms of his family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.

Arthur B. Cromer Jr., 76, of Upper Saucon Township, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at home in the arms of his family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.Arthur Cromer Obituary Arthur was the husband of Denise (Heater) Cromer. He was born in Greenwood, S.C., on Sept. 16, 1943 to the late Arthur B. Cromer Sr. and Irene (Donnahoo). Art spent the first half of his life in Pennsville, N.J. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served from 1960 to 1964. He served all four years aboard the U.S.S. Hornet. Prior to his retirement, he owned Penn-Salem Home Center in Salem, N.J., was general manager for Wickes Lumber, Phillipsburg, N.J., VP of Operations for Fish & Colatozzo Construction, Swedesboro, N.J., and completed his career as an instructional assistant at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute, Schnecksville, Pa. Art loved sports, cookouts, his Corvette and spending time with his family. He managed a knee-high baseball team for Salisbury Township Youth Association.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife of 37 years; daughters: Anne Barr (Stephen) of Philadelphia, Elizabeth Bossett (William) of Salem, N.J., James Cromer of Phillipsburg, N.J. and Aaron Cromer (Amy) of Salisbury Township; sisters: Marjorie Robbins of Idaho and Nancy Sherman (Donald) of Pennsville, N.J.; brother: Claude Cromer (Roberta) of Watsontown; grandchildren: Jonathan, Sarah, Phoebe and Raegan. Art was predeceased by siblings: Jack, George and Virginia Rieck.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to a guided remembrance from attendees’ cars on Saturday, May 9, 2020 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The funeral service will be held privately at the funeral home. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. CONTRIBUTIONS

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2024 Lehigh St. #100, Allentown, PA 18103 and/or the funeral home to assist the family with medical expenses.
