The Saucon Valley Mountain Hawks are a group of talented Saucon Valley Middle School seventh graders who play organized basketball. They are coached by Reggie Robertson and Dan Miller. The Hawks represent Saucon Valley Youth Basketball and are one of six teams who compete in the Lane-Cadet Division of the Lehigh Valley Knee-Hi Basketball League. On February 29th, this talented group played for a championship.
The Saucon Valley Youth Basketball Association sent their grade 5/6 girls basketball team, known as the Tigers, into the Valley Youth Basketball League playoff two weeks ago. The VYBL consists of sixteen teams from all over the Lehigh Valley and beyond. The Saucon Valley Tigers, who were undefeated, did not disappoint.
Basketball season is almost here and Saucon Valley Youth Basketball is very excited to be registering young players from Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township for the 2019-2020 season.
The Saucon Valley Thunder are a group of eight homegrown Saucon Valley Middle School sixth graders who play organized basketball. They are coached by Reggie Robertson and Dan Miller. The Thunder are one of seventeen teams representing Saucon in the Junior Cadet Division of the Lehigh Valley Knee-Hi Basketball League. Saturday afternoon the Thunder competed in their league championship game.

The final Super Weekend of Saucon Valley Youth Basketball has come and gone, but not without a few more thrilling moments and pieces of hardware handed out.
This week and weekend a number of Saucon Valley teams will be playing for their division championships. Six of Saucon Valley’s players were also honored with All-Star Game invitations last weekend: Jack Robertson, Jake Klotz, Brendan Reed, Trevor Mikuta, Ben Pinckney and Isaac Nagle.
On Saturday morning, Feb. 11, the 7-1 Saucon Valley Buckeyes just needed a win to clinch the second spot in the 3/4 Rec Boys Championship game. Their opponent, the Bethlehem Canes 3, needed the win themselves to clinch the spot. With the stakes high, the drama was set and the boys did not disappoint.
When Phillip Taylor wasn’t closing down lanes and frustrating opposing offenses, his teammate Tanner Riefenstahl was keeping defenses on their heels and sometimes on the ground as they tried to keep up with him.
