A Lower Saucon Township man will be charged with DUI after police say he was found unconscious in his vehicle with his foot on his car’s brake at Mockingbird Hill Road and Apple Street early Monday.

In a news release, police said Kevin Sobol, 59, of the 3600 block of Drifting Drive, was discovered unconscious in the driver’s seat after officers received a report of an unconscious male driver and responded to the scene at 6:20 a.m.

“Officers had to stop the vehicle and place it into park before the vehicle would roll into another separate vehicle,” police said in the news release.

“It was determined that Kevin was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol,” they added.

Police said that after being taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital, Sobal declined chemical testing.

Under Pennsylvania law, drivers who do so receive an automatic one-year license suspension.

Sobol will also be charged with an open container violation, police said.
