Matilda A. ‘Tillie’ Petruno, 90, of Hellertown, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late John J. Petruno, who died Aug. 11, 2006.

Matilda A. “Tillie” Petruno, 90, of Hellertown, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late John J. Petruno, who died Aug. 11, 2006. She was born in Aliquippa, Pa., on March 3, 1927 to the late George and Anna Ruby. Tillie worked in advertising for the former Bush & Bull Department Store, Bethlehem, as a teller/bookkeeper for the former Saucon Valley Trust Co., Hellertown, and as a secretary of admissions at Lehigh University until retiring. She was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus RC Church, Hellertown. She was a member of the Hellertown American Legion Post 397 Ladies Auxiliary.

SURVIVORS

Daughters: Debra Ann (Deacon David K.) Rohner of Allentown, Loretta Ann (Ralph R.) Ackernecht of Bethlehem; sister: Marian Miller of Aliquippa; granddaughter: Elizabeth M. Rohner of Allentown. She was predeceased by: infant daughter: Mary Ann; siblings: Michael, George, John Ruby and Margaret Petruno; stepmother: Mary (Bradovich) Ruby; stepbrothers: Michael and John Bradovich.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The service will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 at the funeral home and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Hellertown.
