Saucon Valley native Chadd Hamman has been a Heintzelman Funeral Home employee since the 1990s.
The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown, announced Thursday that funeral director Chadd Hamman has been appointed Embalming Adjunct Professor at his alma mater, Northampton Community College in Bethlehem Township.
In addition to teaching part-time, “Chadd will remain employed full-time at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, serving the Saucon Valley families where he was born and raised,” Heintzelman said in a news release.
Hamman, of Lower Saucon Township, is a 1997 graduate of Saucon Valley High School and Northampton Community College (Class of 2000), which is only one of two schools in Pennsylvania offering a Mortuary Science Degree.
He is a Certified Crematory Technician and is a married father of two, according to his biography.
