A New Year’s Eve miracle of sorts occurred in Bethlehem Monday, when a beloved pet cat missing for more than two weeks was found just 15 minutes before the stroke of midnight and the start of the new year.

Echo
Echo, a 15-month-old, neutered male domestic shorthair who is grey and white, disappeared Thursday, Dec. 14 behind the Woodmont Mews apartment complex next to Lowe’s on Eighth Avenue in Bethlehem.
On Dec. 31, in bitterly cold temperatures, “he was found near where he got out by a friend of mine…15 minutes before the ball dropped,” owner Danielle LaBelle said in an email Monday.
“He’s skinny and scared but already feeling better,” she said.
LaBelle added that the publicity from a story about Echo published by Saucon Source was an emotional boon for his family.
“Everyone was so thrilled when you did, and it gave us all and others a huge boost of hope when I shared it with everyone!” she said.
