Edith L. Muldowney, 101, formerly of Hellertown, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Township. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Muldowney.
She was born in Hellertown on May 30, 1916 to the late Maurice E. and Sallie R. (Eichelberger) Solliday. Edith did laundry work in various areas in the Lehigh Valley. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hellertown. Edith was a 1934 graduate of Hellertown High School.
SURVIVORS
Loving children: Larry J. of Hellertown, Doris L. Moser of Bath; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter: Dolores; sisters: Arlene M. Lewis, Ethel M. Hunsicker.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 tot 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
