Saucon Valley’s Cole Hubert was named the VEWL’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.

Saucon Valley sixth grader Cole Hubert not only won his fourth consecutive VEWL (Valley Elementary Wrestling League) wrestling title this past weekend, he was also named the tournament’s “Most Outstanding Wrestler”.

As a top seed in the 67 lb. weight class, Cole earned a first round bye.  In the quarterfinals, he pinned his opponent in :51 seconds.  Cole won his semifinal round with a fall in only :53 seconds.  In the championship final Cole finished the job with a :45 second pin.  Roughly three minutes of work in a two-day tournament is a great way to get named Most-Outstanding-Wrestler!

Cole Hubert moves in for a fall in the VEWL finals.

In addition to being an outstanding wrestler, Cole is a straight-A student and excels on the baseball diamond.  He is also part of Saucon Valley Middle School’s Math Club.  This kid has got it going on, and we should all be SAUCON PROUD that he represents us!

Great job Cole, the Source is with you!
