The sound of sirens was heard throughout Saucon Valley Friday evening at around 8 p.m., as fire crews rushed to the scene of a dwelling fire that is burning in the 4300 block of Lower Saucon Road.

The sound of sirens was heard all throughout Saucon Valley Friday evening shortly after 8 p.m., as fire crews rushed to the scene of a dwelling fire that is burning in the 4300 block of Lower Saucon Road, according to an alert from Lower Saucon Township Police.

Police are urging motorists to avoid the area–which is at the intersection of Lower Saucon and Buttermilk roads–for the time being, as many fire companies from throughout the area respond to battle the flames.

Eyewitnesses have reported and a photo taken at the scene seems to confirm that the home on fire is fully engulfed by flames.

As of this story’s initial publication there has been no word regarding possible injuries related to the fire.
