The Holiday Hair salon in the Saucon Square shopping center on Rt. 378 will permanently close its doors later this month, according to a sign that was posted on the door Thursday.

“Dear customers,” the sign reads, “this salon will be closing its door permanently as of Jan. 26, 2019.”

Holiday Hair Salon Closing

This sign was posted on the inside of the door at Holiday Hair, 3685 Rt. 378, Bethlehem, on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019.

A reason for the closure wasn’t stated, and a question about it published Thursday evening on the Holiday Hair Facebook page wasn’t immediately answered.

A full-service hair salon chain founded in 1963, Holiday Hair is a part of Signature Style Salons and has about 30 locations throughout the greater Lehigh Valley area, according to the company’s website.

The salons offer men’s and women’s haircuts, hair styling, highlights, hair color services, perms and waxing, and also sell hair care products.

The Holiday Hair salon in the Saucon Square shopping center is one of two company locations in the Saucon Valley, with the other Holiday located in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center on Rt. 412 south of Hellertown.

Both salons are open seven days a week, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays.

Although the Holiday Hair salon on Rt. 378 is closing in less than three weeks, according to the sign, there is an open hair stylist position there, according to the website, which includes an online job application link.

The Saucon Square shopping center has added businesses in recent years, including Dollar Tree, Maxx Fitness and Chaar, which is a pet supply store.

Late last year it was announced that one of the first medical marijuana dispensaries in the area will open there, although it is unclear in which part of the center it will be located.

Another anchor business is Revolutions Saucon Valley, which is a combination bowling alley-arcade-restaurant-nightclub that occupies a former multiplex movie theater.
