It could be a windy start to the work week, according to the National Weather Service, so if you have lightweight items stored outside, garbage to put out, or outdoor activities or travel planned, you may want to monitor the weather forecast.

“Strong winds, potentially gusting as high as 50 to 60 mph, are possible on Monday,” the NWS said Friday in a hazardous weather outlook statement.

The high winds are expected to blow through the area in the wake of a rainstorm which could bring upwards of an inch of rain along with mild temperatures to Saucon Valley Saturday night and Sunday.

Monday’s high temperature is expected to be in the low 40s, so wind chills shouldn’t be a worry on the last Monday of February 2019.
