A fall foliage update for Pennsylvania shared by the website PA Weather Action Saturday shows the Lehigh Valley in a part of the state where “no change” in leaves has been observed, however if you take a drive anywhere in the Hellertown area, it’s hard not to notice the changes that are already occurring.
Cooler weather is in the forecast for later this week, when it will finally begin to feel like fall, according to meteorologists. Highs on Friday and Saturday are expected to be in the 60s, with overnight lows in the 40s.
Around Hellertown many businesses are embracing fall with festive displays featuring pumpkins, hay bales, mums and other symbols of the season.
Some October dates to put on your calendar include Sunday, Oct. 20, when the Saucon Valley Spirit Parade will be held at 2 p.m. in Hellertown, and Thursday, Oct. 31, when Trick-or-Treat will be held in the borough and in Lower Saucon Township from 6 to 8 p.m.
