St. Michael the Archangel School to Host Open Houses (Sponsored)

A local Catholic school that prides itself on providing a challenging education in a nurturing environment to children in grades K-8 will host several transfer and kindergarten open houses for families in late January and early February.

A local Catholic school that prides itself on providing a challenging education in a nurturing environment to children in grades K-8 will host several transfer and kindergarten open houses for families in late January and early February.

EMBLEM_LOGO_FINAL (3)St. Michael the Archangel School will host a Middle School Open House for students in grades 5 through 8 at its Middle School Campus, 4121 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, on Sunday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to noon.

The school will host Elementary School Open Houses for Pre-K to 8th grade students and families at its Elementary School Campus, 5040 St. Joseph’s Road, Coopersburg, on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 7 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Prospective families and transfers are welcome at all of these information sessions.

Programs/qualifications that help set St. Mike’s apart will be discussed, including the school’s recently-adopted 1:1 iPad initiative, which provides tablets to all students in K-8.

Other qualities which set St. Michael the Archangel apart include:

  • Its Pennsylvania-certified faculty, many of whom hold graduate degrees

  • Convenient busing, which is available from most surrounding school districts
  • Excellent elementary and middle school facilities (gyms, cafeterias, computer labs and libraries)
  • Religious instruction, including daily prayers, service projects and community outreach
  • Advanced math studies that begin in fourth grade and a challenging science curriculum that includes hands-on experimentation
  • Reading and language arts curricula that include a balanced literacy program in kindergarten through sixth grade and a literature program in seventh and eighth grades
  • Extracurricular activities provided by CYO, including athletics, social and theatrical events

Tours of both schools are always available and encouraged, according to St. Michael the Archangel’s Advancement Director, Marianne Gano.
