A Richland Township man was allegedly driving more than 25 mph over the posted speed limit May 26 when police say he caused a crash that seriously injured a Lower Milford Township woman on Center Valley Parkway near the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Upper Saucon Township, WFMZ Channel 69 News reported Wednesday.
According to the news story, Christopher Gross, 31, of the 1100 block of Bridle Path Road, was driving a red Audi A4 with the vanity license plate “GROSSY” westbound when he crashed into an eastbound-facing, turning Jeep Wrangler driven by Leah John, whose car subsequently burst into flames.
John was rescued by passing motorists who rushed to free her from the burning vehicle and suffered serious injuries including burns in the wreck.
According to court records, Gross is charged with third-degree felony aggravated assault by vehicle, second-degree misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person and summary offenses including reckless driving and careless driving.
After being arraigned before District Judge Daniel Trexler he was released on $10,000 unsecured bail, according to the court records.
