Lower Saucon Township Police shed light Monday on a recent drug-related arrest at Saucon Valley High School that parents were made aware of in an email from interim principal Ken Napaver.

In a news release, police said officers were called to the school at 10 a.m. Oct. 5 to meet with school staff, who told them they had “information that a student was selling LSD at the school.”

LSD, or lysergic acid diethylamide, is commonly known as “acid” and is a recreational psychedelic drug that can produce hallucinations as well as an altered state of being.

“Staff pulled the student from class and brought him to the office,” police said.

He was subsequently found to be in possession of LSD, Xanax and knives, they continued, and “did admit to selling the LSD to 10 other students.”

After being processed on felony charges of drug delivery as well as charges of narcotics possession and weapons possession, the boy was released, police said.
