Deadline Extended to Pay Hellertown Garbage/Recycling Bills

Hellertown Borough Council approved an extension to the deadline to pay 2015 sanitation/recycling bills Monday, according to an announcement issued by the borough Tuesday.

“Due to the delay in receiving the 2015 sanitation/recycling invoices, the base due date has been extended to the close of business (on) March 31, 2015. A 10 percent penalty will apply to all invoices received after that date,” the announcement said.

Bills are payable at Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St., Hellertown, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Online payment is also available via Municipay on the borough’s website. A per transaction convenience fee of 2.45 percent or a $3.00 minimum is charged for credit card transactions, and a $1.50 per transaction convenience fee is levied when paying by e-check.

More information about garbage and recycling services in the borough is available on the website.
